「Borderlands 2」のDLC第3弾「Borderlands 2: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt」が正式発表。欧米では2013年1月15日にリリース

　2K GamesとGearbox Softwareは，「Borderlands 2」（PC / PlayStation 3 / Xbox 360）のDLC第3弾「Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt」を，各プラットフォームに向けて，欧米で2013年1月15日にリリースすることを発表した。合わせて，トレイラーやスクリーンショットも公開されている。

　主にキャンペーンが拡張される本DLCでは，パンドラとは大きく雰囲気異なる「Aegrus」が舞台となる。ここではBanditsに代わって，ハンサムジャックの跡目を狙う新たなヴィランに率いられたSavage達が，プレイヤーの前に立ちはだかる。大型のモンスターも登場するようで，タイトルどおり，サー・ハマーロックの武器を使ってこうしたモンスター達を狩っていくのも，大きなポイントとなりそうだ。


　複数のプレイヤーが搭乗できるホバークラフトのような乗り物が追加されるなど，なにかと見どころの多そうなHammerlock's Big Game Hunt。挑むには最低でもLv30は必要となるようだが，GearboxはIGNの取材に対して，2013年4月以降に公開される別のパッチ，もしくは新たなDLCにおいて，レベルキャップ（現在はLv50）を解放するような処置をとると答えている。このあたりの対応の速さも，本作が多くのファンに支持され続けている理由かもしれない。
