「Watch Dogs」の最新トレイラー公開。北米での発売日は2013年11月19日に決定

　Ubisoft Entertainmentが開発中のアクションアドベンチャー，「Watch Dogs」（PC/PlayStation 3/Xbox 360/Wii U）の最新トレイラーが公開され，合わせて，北米での発売日が2013年11月19日に決まったことがアナウンスされた。ヨーロッパでの発売は11月22日となっているが，PlayStation 4版については，本体の発売日が公表されていないこともあって未定。また，日本での展開も発表されていない。

　Watch Dogsの舞台となるのは，個人情報や携帯電話の通話はもちろん，人々の行動までスーパーコンピュータが管理する近未来の大都市。公開されたトレイラーでは，何者かに陥れられた主人公Aidan Pierceが，自分のアイデンティティを消して地下に潜伏するという流れが確認できる。他人の情報を入手して，その人物になりすましたり，ジャミングによって通信を妨害したりなど，高度情報化社会を逆手にとった行動でミッションに挑んでいくことになるようだ。
　オープンワールドを背景に，好きなミッションを請け負い，得意の方法でそれに挑んでいくという，「アサシン クリード」シリーズや「グランド・セフト・オート」シリーズのような作品になるという。

　開発を担当するのはUbisoft Montrealで，ハイレベルなグラフィックスと滑らかなアニメーションも魅力的。2013年末の注目作になりそうだ。
