SF RPG「Fallout 3」の開発がついに完了。発売へ秒読み段階

　海外ゲーム情報サイトWorthPlaying.comの記事によると，SF RPG「Fallout 3」をヨーロッパ地域でパブリッシングするUbisoft Entertainmentは，本作の開発が完了したことを明らかにしたとのこと。以前のアナウンスどおり，まず北米地域で2008年10月28日に発売される見通しだ。
　なお日本国内では，Xbox 360版とプレイステーション3版が12月4日に発売される予定となっている。


　核戦争によって地上の大部分が荒廃した未来の世界では，人々は地下シェルターでの生活を余儀なくされている。プレイヤーは，そんなシェルターの一つ「Vault 101」を拠点に冒険を繰り広げていく。
　Fallout 3は，自由度の高さをウリとするシングルプレイ専用RPGで，総プレイ時間は100時間を超えるという大作である。

　本作のデベロッパは，記録的なヒット作となったファンタジーRPG「The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion」で知られるBethesda Softworks。それだけに，Fallout 3の出来にも大いに期待できそうだ。
