Civilization IV拡張パック，「Beyond the Sword」の北米発売日が決定

　Civilization IVの拡張パック第二弾，「Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword」の北米地域での発売日が，2007年7月23日に決定した。そのほかの地域では7月末となる予定。

　本拡張パックは10種類の新文明による，11種類の新シナリオが楽しめるのが特徴で，ほかにも16人の新たなリーダー，五つのワンダーなど新要素が満載されたものとなっている。アートワーク数点が掲載された公式サイトが「こちら」にオープンしている。日本での発売は今のところアナウンスされていないが，拡張パック第一弾である「シヴィライゼーション4 ウォーロード【完全日本語版】」はすでに発売されており，こちらも大いに期待できるだろう。（朝倉哲也）
