RTS「World in Conflict」の発売日が決定＆テスター募集を開始

　Sierra Entertainmentは，アメリカ本土に侵攻してきたソ連軍と，米軍との全面対決をテーマとするRTS「World in Conflict」を，現地時間の9月18日に発売すると発表した。
　また現在，「World in Conflict July BETA Test Event」と題したβテストの参加者募集が行われている。

　今回のテストの実施期間は，E3（E3 Media and Business Summit）が開幕する7月11日から，7月31日まで。このテストでは，E3で紹介される予定の二つのマルチプレイ用マップ「HomeTown」「Farmland」と，シングルプレイのチュートリアルミッションをプレイできる。
　また，テスト期間中に対象店舗/サイト（告知ページ）で本作を予約することで，三つめのマルチプレイ用マップ「Riviera」での対戦が行えるようになるとのこと。

　なお，日本から参加できるかどうかは不明だが，同社は「ワールドワイドのPCゲーマーを招待する」としているので，期待したいところだ。
　参加の申し込みは，名前と電子メールアドレスを入力するだけ。登録した人に対し，参加方法などの詳細を案内するメールが近日中に送られるとのことなので，ストラテジーが好きな人は登録してみてはいかが。（朝倉哲也）
