「The Battle for Middle-Earth II」のプレイムービーが公開に

　4Gamer読者には説明するまでもないほど有名なファンタジー小説「指輪物語」。この世界設定を使用したファンタジーRTS「The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II」のゲームプレイを収録したムービーが，GamersHell.comで公開された。ファイルサイズは130MBで，収録時間は4分59秒。ファイル形式はQuickTimeとなっている。

　今回公開されたムービーでは，「Hero」という特別なユニットの作成シーンがフィーチャーされている。「種族や武器防具などを多様な種類から選択し，オリジナルのユニットを作り出す」といった，RPGのキャラクターメイキングをしているかのような内容を確認可能だ。

　また，プレイシーンでは，そのHeroがたった一人で多くの的と互角に立ち回る様子が見られる。Hero以外にも，空から舞い降りたドラゴンが炎を吹いて敵を吹き飛ばすシーンなど，RTSファン必見ともいえる映像が収録されているから，ぜひ見てみよう。（朝倉哲也）
